Last week we spent 6 days in New York and we had THE best time. I can honestly say I think it might have been the best holiday I’ve ever had, although my bank balance and sleeping patterns are well and truly paying for it now! I’ll be sharing my thoughts soon on where I think you should eat, drink and what you should do if you’re planning a trip there soon, but whilst I go and sleep for a week, here are my favourite moments from the trip to fill the gap…
We woke up on Sunday to another glorious day. It was crisp and we had to wrap up warm, but the sun was shining and there wasn’t a cloud in sight.
It’s only 3 weeks until we head to New York for a week, not that I’m counting or anything, so I thought I’d share some of the things I’m desperate to tick off my New York bucket list whilst we’re there. Continue reading “My New York Bucket List”
This post has been a long time coming but I thought it’d be a good one to save for Valentine’s week. Back in December we treated ourselves to a romantic long weekend, full of food, cocktails and picture perfect sightseeing in Paris, with a little pit stop in London first.
I feel a little bit sad all over again that my Sydney adventure is coming to an end, albeit this time in written form.
Tuesday started with an early wake up call as we’d decided this was the day to drive out of Sydney and head to explore the Blue Mountains. If you’re in NSW, you really must try and incorporate a day trip here into your itinerary because it’s so beautiful and so completely different from the hustle and bustle of Sydney.
We started our first full day in Sydney with a sunny brunch right on the beach at The Boathouse. The location of this place is absolutely perfect and they have a really great healthy brunch menu that we were excited to try. We had to lurk around for a little bit to be able to grab a big enough table for the 8 of us, but it was the well worth the wait when we managed to bag a table on the veranda over the sea.
The main reason for travelling to Aus was to visit some of our best friends, Steph and Seb, in Sydney so while I loved Melbourne, arriving in Sydney to see our friends in their new home was the main event of the trip.
Despite only spending Monday to Friday in Melbourne, now that I’m finally writing this up I’m realising just how much we crammed into that time. I wasn’t expecting this to be a three part series!
I’m almost at the end of my mini Melbourne series which means I’ve started reliving the best of Sydney. Here’s a little taster of what turned out to be one of my favourite weeks ever! I’ll be back to tell you about all of the reasons it was so special soon…
